Drumstick Fry | Drumstick Masala Fry
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon muster seeds
Few curry leaves
1 large onion (chopped lengthwise)
1 large tomato (chopped finely)
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon chilli powder
2 tablespoon coriander powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons
1 cup of water
Chop the drumsticks to 3-inch lengths and slightly peel the drumsticks.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When they begin to splutter, add curry leaves and sauté.
Now add in the onion, sauté until onion soft and golden brown.
Add tomato and sauté until soft, then add salt, cumin powder, pepper powder turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder.
Mix the spices and cook for a minute on low heat.
Then add drumsticks mix well. Add water and stir well.
Cover the pan and cook on low heat until drumsticks are soft. (Keep stirring in between to avoid burning).
Add lemon juice and mix, then add coriander mix well.
Serve as a side-dish with rice, or roti.
