Chicken Upma | Keema Upma | Ramadan Iftar Recipe
1 cup Rava (Semolina)
4 tbsp Oil
2-3 Green Chilli
1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
10 to 15 Mint leaves
1/2 cup Green Peas
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Coriander Powder
1 cup Minced Chicken
2 ½ cups Water
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
Dry roast the rava in a pan on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, and keep that aside.
Heat the oil in a pan, add chillies, ginger garlic paste and sauté.
Add onions sauté until cooked or transparent.
Then add mint leaves, tomato cook until tomato is soft.
Now add green pea satué, add salt, chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, mix and cook for a minute.
Add minced chicken and mix very well, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
Pour in the water and lemon juice, cover and boil the water.
Reduce heat to low, slowly add roasted rava and keep mixing constantly.
Once the rava absorbs all the water and becomes thick, cover & cook for two more minutes or until done.
Stir in some fresh coriander and serve immediately.
