Vanilla Custard Slices Without Oven | Quick & Tasty Dessert Recipe
1 egg yolk, room temperature
4 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp corn starch
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
250 ml milk, room temperature
1 tbsp butter
In a nonstick pan or in a large bowl, add the egg yolk and sugar.
Mix until light and fluffy, then add cornstarch and mix well.
Add vanilla essence and milk, mix until smooth and combined.
Now, turn on the heat; stir the custard mixture over medium-low heat until it thickens (this may take around 10 minutes).
Transfer the custard to a greased plastic container.
Refrigerate until cool and set for at least 2 hours before cutting.
Slice the custard into pieces and keep that aside.
Melt the butter in a frypan, place the custard slices and fry until golden brown on only one side.
Serve chilled. Enjoy!
