Kerala Style Banana Dosa Breakfast Recipe | Banana Pancake

  • 1 large ripe banana 

  • 1 cup rice flour 

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (Maida) 

  • 1/4 cup jaggery powder or to taste 

  • 2 tbsp cashew powder 

  • A pinch of salt 

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder  

  • 1/4 tsp dry ginger powder 

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk 

  • Water 

  • Ghee  


  1. Add banana, rice flour, all-purpose flour, jaggery powder,  cashew powder, salt, cardamom powder, dry ginger powder, coconut milk and water in a blender. 

  2. Blend into a smooth and thick batter. 

  3. Transfer to a bowl and mix the batter well. 

  4. Heat a nonstick pan, and pour a ladle full of batter on the hot pan. 

  5. Cook for a minute and add some ghee. 

  6. Flip the dosa, and cook for a minute on the other side.  

  7. Serve the Kerala Style banana dosa recipe as a snack, dessert or breakfast.
