Tofu Recipe | Vegan and Perfect Meat Substitute | Serve This Tofu as Snack or Side Dish or Starter

  • 400g tofu 

  • 1 1/4 tsp chilli powder 

  • 1 1/4 tsp garam masala 

  • 1 1/4 tsp coriander powder 

  • 1/2 tsp ginger - garlic paste 

  • Salt to taste 

  • 4 tbsp oil 

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice + 1 tsp extra lemon juice 

  • 1 red onion  

  • 1 green bell pepper  


  1. Cut tofu as desired and keep that aside. 

  2. In a large bowl, add tofu,1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp coriander powder,  ginger - garlic paste, salt to taste and 2 tbsp lemon juice. 

  3. Gently mix the tofu with species and rest it for 30 minutes. 

  4. After 30 minutes, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a heavy bottom pan.  

  5. Arrange the tofu pieces so that all the pieces touch the bottom of the pan. 

  6. Brown them on all sides on medium-high heat and transfer. 

  7. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil, add onion and sauté for a minute. 

  8. Then add green bell pepper and sauté for a minute.  

  9. Add salt, 1/4 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala and 1 tsp lemon juice. 

  10. Mix well and cook for a minute. 

  11. Finally, add tofu and cook for a minute.
