Quick Peanut Chaat | Peanut Masala (Spicy Indian Peanuts)

Servings - 3


  • 1 cup whole peanuts, husks removed 

  • 1 teaspoon oil 

  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder 

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder 

  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala 

  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder 

  • 1 red onion 

  • 1/2 cup cucumber 

  • 1 tomato, deseeded 

  • 1 green chilli  

  • Fresh coriander 

  • 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice  


  1. Finely chop the onion, tomato, cucumber, green chilli, and coriander. 

  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat. 

  3. Add the peanuts and roast them until they turn crispy. 

  4. Allow them to cool slightly before adding the vegetables. 

  5. In a large bowl, mix together the roasted peanuts and chopped vegetables. 

  6. Pour lemon juice over the mixture. 

  7. Sprinkle chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala, and dry mango powder. 

  8. Toss everything together until well combined. 

  9. Garnish with extra chaat masala if desired. 

  10. Serve immediately and enjoy the spicy and tangy peanut chaat. 

  11. This quick and flavorful snack is perfect for any occasion.
