Mushroom Fry Recipe | Mushroom Starter Recipe Indian


  • 1 tbsp butter 

  • 1/4 cup dry curry leaves 

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 200g mushrooms

  • Salt to taste 

  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder 

  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder

  • 1/4 tsp Ajinomoto

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  1. Clean mushrooms of all their dirt and trim the stems, slice them and set them aside.  

  2. Melt butter in a heavy-bottomed vessel, add curry leaves and sauté for a few secs then remove.

  3. Add garlic powder (Do not burn).  

  4. Add the mushrooms and sauté on medium-high for 2-3 mins. 

  5. Stir occasionally. Add salt, chilli powder, and pepper powder and mix.   

  6. Add Ajinomoto, lemon juice, and mix.  

  7. Cook for about 5 mins or until mushrooms is dry.   

  8. Serve warm.
