Evening Snack | Twisted Potato Cheese Snack Recipe
6 - 8 chillies, bhavnagiri / jalapeno
2 boiled potatoes (large size)
3 tbsp Mozzarella cheese (+ mozzarella for filling)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp mixed herbs
3 tbsp bread crumbs (+ extra)
2 tbsp corn starch
3 tbsp water
Oil for frying
Slit the chillies and remove the seeds, fill the mozzarella and keep aside.
In a large bowl, add boiled and mashed potato.
Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, herbs, 3 tbsp mozzarella cheese, 3 tbsp bread crumbs and combine well.
Now cover the chillies with potato mixture and keep that aside.
In a small bowl mix corn starch and water.
Now dip the covered chillies into corn mixture and then coat the chilli completely with bread crumbs.
Deep fry in hot oil keeping the flame on medium.
Stir occasionally, until golden and crisp.
Drain over kitchen paper to remove excess oil and enjoy the snack with green chutney and tamarind chutney or ketchup.
