Cornflakes Chivda Tea Time Snack | Iyengar Bakery Maize
500 corn flakes
3 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup fried gram
1/2 cup curry Leaves
1 teaspoon chat masala
1teaspoon dry mango powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon hing
Salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
Heat oil in a pan, then add mustard and let them splutter.
Next, add peanuts and fry for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.
Stir in the fried grams, add curry leaves and sauté until the curry leaves get crisp.
Turn off the heat and immediately add chat masala, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and hing.
Now, add salt and sugar, and mix well.
Add cornflakes to it and turn on the stove.
Mix the cornflakes on low flame for 2 - 3 minutes or until it gets crispy.
Store in an airtight container once it cools.
You can also add cashews, raisins and dry coconut.
Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
Store for up to one month in an airtight container once it cools.
