CLASSIC ITALIAN PIZZA FUNGHI | Mushroom Pizza
The pizza Funghi is a traditional and world-famous Italian pizza. It is also known as a mushroom pizza.
This pizza doesn't need many ingredients; it is fresh, healthy and budget-friendly.

Ingredients:
1 cup of warm water
1 tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
5 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tbsp minced garlic
Salt & pepper to taste
200g mushrooms
200g mozzarella cheese
Pizza sauce
Method:
In a large bowl, add warm water, sugar and yeast.
Let it rest for 15 minutes or until creamy.
After 15 minutes, add 2 tbsp of olive oil, salt and flour to the yeast mixture.
Mix well until smooth, cover and let it rest for 20 - 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, clean and slice the mushrooms.
Add 3 tbsp of olive oil, and minced garlic, to a small bowl and mix well.
Now, add 3 tbsp of garlic and olive oil mixture to a pan.
Stir and cook the garlic mixture until fragrant.
Next, add mushrooms, stir and cook until tender.
Let the mushroom cool down completely.
Punch down the dough and transfer it onto a lightly dusted surface.
Divide the dough into 2 equal parts, pat and roll into a 15-inch circle.
Dust the pizza pan with flour, and place the dough.
Pat and spread out the dough, then crimp the edges.
Prick the dough with a fork and spread the garlic and olive oil mixture.
Apply the pizza sauce and top with mushrooms.
Sprinkle some salt and pepper. Next, top with mozzarella cheese, and place the pan into the preheated oven.
Bake at 225 C for 15 - 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
Serve immediately.
