MTR Gulab Jamun Parfait Dessert | Gulab Jamun Parfait Indian Fusion Dessert
Ingredients for the sugar syrup:
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
Ingredients for making gulab jamun:
2 cups instant gulab jamun mix (i have used MTR gulab jamun mix, you can use any brand of choice)
1/2 cup water
Oil for deep frying
Ingredients for parfait:
1 cup whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp sugar
In a large pan, add 2 cups of water and sugar.
Dissolve the sugar and boil. Add lemon juice and simmer the sugar syrup until slightly sticky.
Now, in a mixing bowl, add instant gulab jamun mix.
Add water and combine, make a smooth and soft dough.
Furthermore, make blueberry sized balls greasing oil to hands.
Heat the oil, and when the oil is moderately hot, fry the jamuns.
Fry the balls on low heat, stirring in between until it turns golden brown.
Immediately, drop the jamuns into the hot sugar syrup.
Cover the lid and rest for 30 minutes.
Add whipping cream, vanilla extract and sugar to a large bowl.
Beat at medium speed until the cream thickens.
Transfer the cream to a piping bag.
Pipe a layer of whipped cream at the bottom of the serving glass or bowl.
Top with the jamuns and the whipped cream.
Garnish with slivered pistachios.
Refrigerate for a few hours until ready to serve.
Note: You can also use motichoor ladoo instead of gulab jamun.
