Restaurant Style Paneer Butter Masala Recipe | Without Garlic & Onion


  • 500g paneer cut into cubes 

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 50g butter

  • 1-inch ginger 

  • 100g tomato puree 

  • 1/4 Red chilli powder 

  • 1 /4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp curry powder

  • 1 tbsp garam masala

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves /kasuri

  • 150g cream

  • 15 to 20 roasted cashew nuts

  • 3 to 4 green chillies

  • Some water


  1. Grind cashews, ginger and chillies into a fine paste. keep that aside.

  2. Melt the 30g butter and fry the paneer cubes until it turns golden brown, set that aside.

  3. Heat a pan and add oil, then add in the paste and cook for 3 minutes.

  4. Add garam masala chilli powder turmeric powder and curry powder cook for a min.

  5. Then add salt,  tomato puree and some water, mix and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add kasuri methi, mix well. then add paneer and mix very gently.

  7. Add cream cook it for one more minute and then add 20g butter mix.
    Serve hot with rice or bread.
