Dinner Recipe - Chicken Pasta with Cream & Tomato Sauce
Servings - 3
Chicken Marination:
500g chicken
1 tbsp paprika powder
1 tbsp onion powder
Dried Herbs
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
Sauce:
2-3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp tomato paste
1-2 tsp chilli powder
1 cup pasta water
200 ml cream
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
200–300g cooked pasta
Parsley for garnish
Method:
Marinate the chicken with garlic powder, paprika powder, onion powder, dried herbs, 1 tablespoon olive oil, pepper, and salt.
In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook the chicken until browned and cooked through.
While the chicken is cooking, cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Save 1 cup of pasta water for later use.
Add butter to the pan and melt it over medium heat.
Stir in flour and mix until well combined.
Add minced garlic, tomato paste, and chilli powder. Mix well.
Pour in the reserved pasta water and let it cook for a few minutes.
Add cream, continuously mixing, and season with salt and pepper.
Finally, add the cooked pasta to the sauce, ensuring it's well coated.
Garnish with parsley before serving.
