Bread Dahi Vada

Ingredients:


  • 6 - Bread Pieces

  • Chilly powder to taste

  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar

  • 1/2 Cup - Yogurt/Curd

  • 1/4 tsp - Cumin powder

  • Water

  • Oil

  • Tamarind chutney as needed  ( Green Chutney Optional)

  • 1/2 cup - Dry coconut powder

  • 1 tbsp - Coriander leaves, chopped

  • 8 - Cashews 

  • 10-  Raisins, chopped

  • 1- green chilly

  • Salt to taste


Method:


  1. Mix dry coconut powder, coriander leaves, cashews, raisins, green chilly & salt. 

  2. In a bowl take some water and apply 2 -3 tbsp water to the bread.

  3.  Let it soak the bread for a minute. 

  4. Place 1 tbsp of prepared stuffing in the centre bread & cover. 

  5. Once all the bread balls are ready, deep fry them until its turns golden brown & remove. 

  6. Now mix the yoghurt along with some salt and sugar.

  7.  Arrange the vadas in the try and pour the yoghurt over them.

  8.  Sprinkle some cumin powder, chilli powder, tamarind chutney & coriander.

  9.  Chill the dahi vada & serve.
