Fish Fry

Simple and quick crusty fish fillets are coated with spices and shallow fried in a pan. This delicious Indian fish dish can be served as a starter, side dish or even an appetizer.



Servings - 2



Ingredients:



  • 300g fish  

  • 1/2 tbsp ginger - garlic paste 

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder 

  • Salt to taste 

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 

  • 1/2 tbsp pepper powder 

  • 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder 

  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala 

  • 1 tbsp coriander powder 

  • 5 dry curry leaves 

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 

  • 1 tbsp rice flour 

  • 2 - 3 tbsp water 

  • 1/4 cup oil



Method: 



  1. In a small bowl, add ginger paste, chilly powder, salt,  turmeric powder, pepper powder,  Kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, dry curry leaves,  lemon juice, and rice flour. 

  2. Add water, and combine everything well. 

  3. Coat the fish with prepared masala and refrigerate the fish for 1 hour.   

  4. After 1 hour, heat the oil in a pan and place the marinated fish. 

  5. Shallow fry the fish until done and crusty on both sides.  

  6. Garnish with sliced onions and lemon wedges. 

  7. Serve immediately.
