Masala Carrot Toast | Spicy Masala Bread Toast | Iyengar Bakery Style Bread Toast
6 bread slices 2 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
1 large onion, roughly chopped
1 large tomato, roughly chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
1 cup carrot, grated
1/4 cup green bell pepper, roughly chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp chaat masala
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and splutter.
Once the mustard and cumin seeds splutter, add the curry leaves, green chilli, ginger and sauté.
Now add the onions and sauté, then add tomato and cook for a minute.
Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala, salt to taste.
Mix well and cook for a minute.
Add in the grated carrot and green bell pepper mix well.
Cover and cook for 2 - 3 minutes, now turn off the stove.
Add the lemon juice, chaat masala and chaat masala.
Mix well. Apply the butter on the bread slice and toast the bread to golden brown on both sides.
Spread the masala on the toast, cut into a triangle shape and serve it immediately.
