Rajma Recipe for Chawal | Rajma Masala | Red Kidney Beans Curry
200g red kidney beans (canned)
2 onions, finely chopped
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons il
1-inch piece ginger, finely chopped
8-10 cloves garlic, finely chopped
50g tomato puree
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 cup water, extra if required
Heat oil in a pot. Add bay leaf, onion and stir fry until light golden brown.
Add in ginger, garlic and stir fry for 30 seconds.
Now add the tomato puree and stir.
Add the coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala and mix.
Add water and salt, mix well. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
Add rajma and mix. Cover and cook it for fifteen to twenty minutes on low heat.
Serve hot with rice or bread.
