Tomato Chicken Curry | Hot & Sour Tomato Chicken Curry
1 kg chicken
3 tbsp oil
2 medium onions
10 t0 15 mint leaves
1 - 2 green chilli
3 medium tomatoes
½ cup tomato puree
½ cup water
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Chilli powder to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
Clean and cut the chicken into desired sized pieces.
Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan and add in the onion and Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes.
Then add ginger garlic paste, mint, green chilli one after one and Sauté.
Add tomato and cook for few minutes, then add salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Mix well.
Add chicken pieces and mix, cover and cook for 5 minutes on a medium heat.
Now add water and tomato puree mix well and cover & cook for 10 to 15 minutes or chicken is until tender.
Add lemon juice and coriander mix.
Serve with rice, roti, chapati or naan.
