Pepper Chicken Dry Recipe | South Indian Style
2 + 1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup curry leaves
2 - 3 chillies
10 - 15 garlic cloves
2 red onions
1/2 tsp salt + salt to taste
1 - 2 tsp crushed peppercorn
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
Heat the pan add oil and add in the curry leaves, green chillies, garlic one-by-one and sauté.
Now add onion sauté for a minute (Do not overcook the onion).
Then add 1/2 tsp salt, crushed peppercorn, lemon juice and mix well.
Transfer the onion mixture into a bowl.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in the same pan, add ginger-garlic paste, sauté. Then add chicken and cook for 2 minutes.
Now add garam masala, turmeric powder, pepper powder, chilli powder and coat well.
Cover and cook the is chicken until soft and tender.
Remove the lid and cook on low heat for 10 more minutes.
Finally, add the onion masala mixture and stir, cook for one more minute.
Serve hot as a starter.
