Andhra Style Green Chilli Chicken
1 kg Chicken
1 ½ litter Buttermilk
3 tbsp Oil or 2 tbsp Ghee
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
½ cup Curry Leaves
3 Green Chilies
Wash the chicken, add buttermilk, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Ingredients for marination:
2 Inch Ginger
8 to 10 Garlic Cloves
8 to 10 Green Chillies
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
½ tsp Chilli Powder
1/2 cup Coriander
Salt to taste
Grind all the above ingredients into a fine paste keep that aside.
After 2 hours drain the buttermilk from the chicken.
Add in the green paste, mix well and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Heat the pan add oil or ghee (optional) and add the marinated chicken.
Cover & cook the chicken for 10 to 15 minutes or until it's done and keep that aside.
Heat oil or ghee in a pan add cumin, curry leaves, and green chillies, saute.
Then add cooked chicken mix well and serve hot.
