Almond Chicken Recipe | ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಚಿಕನ್
This easy almond chicken recipe was made by Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and is served exclusively in Mumbai's Noor Mohammadi Hotel.

1 kg chicken drumsticks
1/2 cup almond
1/4 cup oil
3 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp coriander seeds
4 black cardamom
6 bay leaves
10 - 15 Kashmiri chillies
2 tbsp ginger - garlic paste
2 tbsp ginger juliennes
2 onions 1 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 cup spring onion bulb
1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 cup yoghurt
Few saffron strands soaked in water
3 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup spring onion
Add blanched and peeled almonds in a blender.
Add water to the blender and blend the almonds smooth.
Heat the oil and ghee in a pan, add cumin, coriander, and black cardamom, and fry until aromatic.
Stir in the bay leaves, add Kashmiri chillies and sauté.
Add ginger- garlic paste and stir. Next, add 1 tbsp ginger julienned and sauté.
Add chopped onion and sauté for 2 minutes.
Stir in the turmeric powder, spring onion bulb and Kashmiri chilli powder.
Add the chicken and salt, and mix thoroughly.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, add yoghurt, almond paste, and saffron water.
Mix well, cover and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
Now, remove the lid, mix well and cook for 5 minutes or until thick.
Add lemon juice, coriander, 1 tbsp ginger julienned, and 1/4 cup spring onion.
Mix well and turn off the heat.
Serve the delicious almond chicken with any type of rice or flatbread.
