Instant Rava Ladoo Recipe | Sooji Ladoo


  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter) 

  • 2 cups rava/semolina, medium or fine 

  • 11/4 cup desiccated coconut 

  • 1/4 cup roasted cashews 

  • 1/4 cup raisins 

  • 3/4 cup sugar (Powdered sugar) 

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder 

  • 1/4 cup milk + 2 tbsp milk extra  


  1. In a pan or kadai, melt the ghee on medium heat. 

  2. Once the ghee has melted, add rava and roast for about 8 to 10 minutes or until fragrant. 

  3. Add desiccated coconut, roasted cashews, raisins and sugar. 

  4. Stir and roast for 2 minutes on low heat. 

  5. Mix cardamom powder with 2 tbsp of milk and pour that into rava mixture. 

  6. Stir and cook for 2 minutes, then add 1/4 milk mix well cook until the sugar melts. 

  7. Let the mixture cool down a bit. 

  8. Take some ladoo mixture in your palms and shape it into round balls. 

  9. Coat the laddu with some desiccated coconut.
