A popular South Indian bakery dessert snack is a simple dish that tastes amazing. This dish is generally consumed as a snack.
Servings - 4
Ingredients:
Puff pastry sheet
1/2 cup lemon candied zest
1/2 cup orange candied zest
1/2 cup dry desiccated coconut
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp of melted butter
Method:
In a bowl, lemon candied zest, orange candied zest, dry desiccated coconut, sugar and cardamom powder.
Mix well, and keep that aside. Now, place the 20 cm round pastry sheet on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Spread approx. 1/2 cup of prepared stuffing evenly, leaving the sides.
Place another 18 cm round pastry sheet. Brush with melted butter or water, gently press and seal the edges.
Brush the butter over the dough.
Bake at 180 C for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
