1 cup rice flour
1/4 cup fried gram
1/4 cup peanuts, roasted
2 tbsp sesame
1/4 cup dry coconut powder
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp ghee
1 cup jaggery
1/4 cup water
In a pan, roast the fried gram and let that cool down.
Transfer the fried gram to a blender, add roasted peanuts and blend to a coarse powder.
Now, dry roast rice flour in a pan until aromatic on medium heat.
Transfer the roasted rice flour into a bowl.
Next, roast the coconut powder until golden, and add them to the roasted rice flour.
Roast the sesame seeds and add that to the roasted rice flour.
Add cardamom powder, fried gram and peanut powder to the bowl.
Mix well, then add ghee, mix well and keep that aside.
In a pan, add jaggery and water, stir and dissolve the jaggery.
Boil for 2 minutes or until it reaches 1 string consistency.
Filter the jaggery syrup into the flour mixture.
Mix until everything is well combined. (Don't allow the mixture to cool down.)
Grease the palm with ghee and start making the laddu.
Store the thambittu in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks and enjoy.
