Dessert Recipe | Custard Slice | Instant Custard Pudding Cake


  • 1 egg yolk 

  • 4 tbsp sugar 

  • 4 tbsp corn starch 

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 

  • 250 ml milk 

  • 1 tbsp milk


  1. In a large bowl or directly in a pan, add egg yolk and sugar. 

  2. Stir in the yolk and sugar until light and fluffy. 

  3. Add cornstarch and mix well, then add vanilla extract and milk. 

  4. Stir well and make sure there are no lumps.  

  5. Now switch on the stove, cook the milk mixture over medium-low heat. 

  6. Stir continuously and cook the milk mixture for 5 to 10 minutes, or until it's thick and silky. 

  7. Pour the custard into a greased container, spread and even out immediately.

  8.  Refrigerate the custard until cool and set. 

  9. Once the custard is set, slice them into pieces. 

  10. Now in a nonstick pan, warm the butter and place the sliced custard pieces. 

  11. Fry them until it turns golden brown. (Only one side you need to fry, and also, you can skip this step).
