Goat Masala | South Indian Goat Curry | Mutton Curry Restaurant Style Recipe
500g Goat Meat or Lamb
2 tbsp oil
1 large onion (Finely chopped)
3 green chillies (+4 Whole Green Chillies)
2 medium tomatoes
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp pepper powder
2 - 3 tbsp curry powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
1/4 cup water (More if needed)
2 tbsp lemon juice
In a large pot, heat oil and add the onion, sauté for a minute.
Then add green chillies and sauté, now add the tomatoes and sauté for a minute.
Furthermore, add ginger-garlic paste and stir well, add turmeric powder, pepper powder, curry powder, garam masala, and salt.
Stir well and cook on medium-low heat for a minute or until tomatoes are soft.
Now, add in the goat and mix well then add water.
Cover and allow the goat to cook on medium-high heat for 25 to 35 minutes or until the lamb turns soft.
Now add the whole green chillies, lemon juice and coriander leaves.
Mix well, cook for a minute and serve hot with fresh bread or rice.
