Cluster Beans Curry | Gorikayi Gojju Recipe | Gorikayi Palya for Rice & Chapathi
300 g cluster beans | guvar | gorikayi
2 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
Few curry leaves
1 large onion
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tablespoon curry powder or sambar powder
1/2 chilli powder (optional)
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
1 cup water
Wash, discard the ends and cut the cluster beans. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Now add curry leaves, saute, then add in chopped onions and cook for a minute.
Add in chopped tomatoes and cook for a minute or until tomatoes are soft.
Next, add salt, turmeric powder, curry powder, chilli powder, mix well and cook for a minute.
Add in cluster beans and mix well; add water. Mix well, cover and cook until cluster beans are soft.
Remove the lid and stir, add coriander leaves and stir well.
Cover and cook for a minute. Server hot with rice or chapathi.
