Microwave Egg-less Cake in 5 Minutes | 5 Minutes Birthday Cake
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup yoghurt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Zest of 2 fresh oranges or 1 tsp dried orange zest (Store-bought)
3/4 cup whipping cream
1-2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Fresh oranges for decoration
In a large bowl whisk the butter, sugar and vanilla for a minute.
Then add whipping cream and yoghurt whisk for 5 minutes or until white and fluffy.
Now sift the flour, baking powder and add in orange zest.
Then combine wet and dry ingredients (Don't over mix the batter).
In a microwave container place, the parchment paper.
Pour the batter into the prepared container and microwave for 5 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean. (My cake took exactly 5 minutes to cook).
Let the cake cool down completely before decorating. (Do not refrigerate the cake).
Add cold whipping cream, sugar and vanilla extract to the cold bowl.
Using a hand mixer, whip for a few minutes until stiff peaks form.
When the frosting starts to come together, stop the mixer and decorate the cake.
